Worthing Thunder’s Coach D is not looking at his side’s opening day win over Leicester Warriors as motivation when they head to Braunstone Leisure Centre for an NBL Division 1 clash on Saturday afternoon.

Thunder won comfortably 72-57 at the Worthing Leisure Centre on the opening day but since then both Worthing and Leicester have drastically changed their line-ups.

The Warriors, normally a bit of an unknown quantity in terms of public news have changed their line-up with two Americans added to their roster.

Coach D though believes that Thunder’s form, which has seen them win seven games in a row will continue on Saturday.

“Leicester is definitely going to be an interesting game,” Coach D said

“They have changed quite a bit since we've last played them and despite being in the bottom end of the table they narrowly lost to Reading by five and won two in a row including, the then top of the table Hemel.

“We are playing at a good clip at the moment and our bench production has come at a much needed time so I'm hoping we can weather Leicester at their place."

Thunder’s road game against Leicester tips off at 3 pm on Saturday afternoon.
