Having an unexpected week off following the postponement of the Manchester Magic game last Saturday, some Worthing Thunder players have been relaxing ahead of this weekend’s clash at the Bradford Dragons.

While for most, it’s been business as usual in terms of getting mentally and physically prepared for a vital NBL Division 1 game on the road, Brendan Okoronkwo and Jorge Ebanks have chosen a slightly different path.

The week off has allowed extra time for both players to take in sights around other parts of Europe as Ebanks and Okoronkwo both visited the Italian capital of Rome for a mini holiday to recharge the batteries.

“It’s been a great week away and it’s been nice to recharge the batteries,” said Okoronkwo.

“I’m feeling refreshed and feeling great ahead of the long trip to Bradford, they’re a difficult team and we will be ready for them.”

The last time Worthing and Bradford met Zaire Taylor, exploded for 36 points and 12 rebounds as Thunder scored a narrow 93-87 win in early December.

Tip-off is on Saturday evening at Bradford College, tip-off is at 6:15 pm.
